Textiles and Embellishment Techniques from India By Kathy King Join us at the Quilt Basket as Kathy King relates her journey in India with pictures and textiles for you to see and feel. The tour was led by well known quilter, Jinny Beyer. “In January, I traveled to India to learn about local quilting and other textile embellishment techniques. I met up with 18 other like-minded ladies (and one brave husband)—quilters and needle/fabric artists from the US, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. The tour was led by the well-known quilter Jinny Beyer, who used to live there. We traveled for 2 weeks through rural areas located on the far western edge of India, near the Pakistani border, in the Gujarat state. I invite you to join me where you will be able to view, and handle beautiful handmade textiles.” Friday, May 16         10-12
