The Art of Hand Appliqué Helen • Beginners Welcome Discover the secrets of needle-turn Appliqué as you stitch this cute sunﬂower with butterﬂy design. You’ll learn the stitch as well as how to make sharp points, smooth curves, and perfect circles. You bring the background and we’ll supply all the Appliqué fabric, threads and a sampling of needles and pins.

Machine Appliqué Nubin • Beginners Welcome Come join the fun and learn a new machine Appliqué technique. If your sewing machine can do a little zig zag then you are all set! Pattern and a few tools required. $30.00 2 session 2 ½ hours Tuesday, Oct 14, 21 10–12:30 Pickled Clams using Floating Edge Appliqué Nubin Come have fun learning a new technique on an old favorite. Nubin has developed a simple yet unique way to have an adventure in curves and piping. You will ﬁnish each pickled clam and then assemble the quilt without any curved piecing. Invisible and effective! This twist on an 1880’s quilt can be done in 1800’s reproductions, batiks or fun modern fabrics. We will learn the basics about fabric and how to use a pattern to create your one of a kind pants in this class. 10–12:30 or 6–8:30 English Paper Piecing Cindy • Beginners Welcome One of the biggest rage in the quilting industry is English Paper Piecing. It was very popular many years ago and it has come around again. A wonderful and easy technique to learn with Cindy’s help. Paper piecing is a technique you can do while watching TV, sitting in the waiting room, attending sports activities, etc. Make a quilt or a craft project, there are so many patterns available. Cindy will teach you the basic steps to English Paper Piecing. $15.00 1 session 1 ½ hours Monday, November 14 10:30–12 Beautiful Bindings Helen • Beginners Welcome Achieve smooth bindings with perfect corners and learn a great method for joining the ends. Practice sewing angled and scalloped edges and try new “gourmet” bindings, such as two-color and faux piping. You’ll build a useful sample book of bindings that you can refer to again and again. There is a $15.00 kit fee that is paid to the instructor. $36.00 1 session All Day Wednesday, Nov 16 10–4 PM Classic Looped Scarf Kathy This is the perfect class for the new or experienced serger owner. In this class we will create a one of a kind classic looped scarf. Discover how easy it is to use your serger to create an overlock, ﬂatlock and rolled hem stitches with 4, 3, and 2 threads.
