T-Shirt Quilt Sally Come learn how to create a memory quilt from those favorite T-shirts you have been saving. We will learn the basics of block preparation and block placement and how to put together small logos and designs to make larger blocks. You will need to bring the clean T-Shirts you want to use. “Cholulu” Nubin Oh My! I had such a great time creating “Lulu”. Pick one of Laura Heine’s collage patterns and come spend a couple days learning and designing your one of a kind “Artsy Collage” masterpiece! The supply list is a little different for each of Laura’s patterns, so please refer to your pattern choice for yardage. This class is a two-part class with an optional third class for quilting (Cholulu Finishing Class). “Cholulu” Finishing Class Nubin Once you have your “Cholulu” top finished you can take the optional Finishing Your Collage machine quilting class. We will be using a Walking Foot and a Free Motion Quilting foot to add texture and excitement to the background! $25.00         1 session        3 hours Monday, February 22        1–4 PM

The Art of Hand Appliqué Helen • Beginners Welcome Discover the secrets of needle-turn applique as you stitch this cute sunflower with butterfly design. You’ll learn the stitch as well as how to make sharp points, smooth curves, and perfect circles. You bring the background and we’ll supply all the applique fabric, threads and a sampling of needles and pins. Urge to Serge: Serger Spa Tote Mary • Beginners Welcome Serge this cute and roomy tote in no time! We will make a basic tote in class. You will have the opportunity to try out some new stitches to embellish your next project. $25.00         1 session        3 hours Wednesday, January 27        10–1

Beginning Piecing Sally • Beginners Welcome Come join us as we learn the basics of quilting including an accurate quarter inch seam and how to use your rotary cutting tools. We will make a quilt using the strip piecing method to make rail fence blocks as well as the string piecing method to sew half square triangles together. $36.00         2 sessions        3 hour Monday, Feb 1, 8         10–1 or 6–9 PM

Finishing for Beginners Sally Now that your quilt top is completed let’s turn this quilt top into a quilt. We will make a little “quilt sandwich” and practice stitch in the ditch as well as free motion quilting basics. We will also learn how to cut, make and add the binding to be able to finish your quilt. $25.00         1 session         3 hour         Monday, March 14

“Tuffet” with a Topper and a Twist Nubin • Beginners Welcome Come join the fun in creating this cute Tuffet! We will be making this popular little foot stool…. but instead of a permanent cover we will be making it removable and with some machine applique! Being able to change the cover out for the room or the season or to match your next quilt is a fun way to add personality to your décor. Take it off and throw it in the wash! My youngest daughter received the tuffet and a matching lap quilt for her apartment at Christmas. As her tastes change so will the next cover on the Tuffet. $40.00         2 sessions         4 hours Monday, Feb 29, March 7        10–2 PM

Hand Applique Stitch Clinic Helen • Beginners Welcome This is the perfect class for those that don’t want another project, but do want to improve their hand applique. We’ll concentrate on sharper points, smoother curves, and advanced techniques such as lined shapes and 1/8” stems. This class is geared for those that already know the basics but want to expand on them. Beginning Sewing “Runaround Bag” Kathy • Beginners Welcome The Runaround Bag is an easy to make purse perfect for the beginner sewer. This class is geared toward the beginner sewer that wants to learn or improve their sewing skills. A sewing machine that is in good working order and with an instructional manual will need to be bought to each class. This bag includes an easy to install zippered front pocket, back pocket and a shoulder strap. $36.00         2 sessions         3 hours Wednesday, March 23, 30

Oh Baby, Baby! Helen This is the cutest and easiest baby quilt you’ll ever make! With just five fabrics, it’s a breeze to select the fabrics. You’ll learn some tricks for better cutting, pressing and matching intersections as you sew this crib-sized quilt for a special little one. $ 30.00        1 session         All Day Friday, April 15        10–3 PM

Beautiful Bindings Helen • Beginners Welcome Achieve smooth bindings with perfect corners and learn a great method for joining the ends. Practice sewing angled and scalloped edges and try new “gourmet” bindings, such as two-color and faux piping. You’ll build a useful sample book of bindings that you can refer to again and again.
